School Age Support

School age supports include coordinating necessary services to assist in a child in their formative years. Services for your child may include the county board-operated school, day care providers, need-specific schools, respite care providers, behavioral support, medical providers and specialists including occupational, speech, and physical therapists. Service Coordinators work with local school districts on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). In addition, School Age Support encompasses transitional options for children in their teens about to enter the workforce. Transitional services are evolving at the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities and we anticipate an expanded menu of choices for individuals in the future.
